To update an old post bout mistakes jambite make, With my little
experience with the exam board, have noticed so many mistakes jambites
makes wen filling the registration form, some believes it doesn't
matter, while some feel jamb will understand, now i wan to tell you that
any silly little mistake can cos you extra one year at home and i also
included institute i wont advice you to pick
1. Don't select one
university and
polytechnic as first
and 2nd choice: if you select one uni or poly as first and second choice the tendency of you getting admission is just 20% cos any little mistake your off the hook, cos you'll only write one post ume and the moment you fail or dont reach the cut off mark, mehn am sorry, its extra one year, but to does who already made da mistake you still ve a chance after the exam, a change of course and institute form will be out and you'll ve the chance to buy the form and make your change, choose wisely.
2. don't choose state
university as first
choice and federal
university as 2nd
choice: this one mistake jambite newbies do make, note: before you fill your jamb form always check your brochure to know which is federal uni and which is state uni e.g unilag is federal, lasu is state but there both in lagos, all federal uni or poly doesn't accept there institute to be selected as second choice, so if you already made this mistake you can also make corrections with number 1 method.
3. Get the correct utme
requirement for your
course before
selecting any subject
in jamb: this is a top mistake dat is also been made, wen ever your registsying for jamb you'll be given a brochure or jamb disk, these tins are not jest for fun it is used to guide you in making the right selection before you fill in your four subjects for any course check your brochure for that course and see the subjects needed, cos wen u write your post ume now and you want to study medicine den your given psycology to read, you'll begin to complain, you dont ve to complain cos its your fault you dint fill in the right subject for medicine, if you've made this mistake am sorry there's no point head solution, the only tin is to buy a change of course form and change your course to the one da marches those subject.
4. Avoid unilorin in jamb, ethnic favorism is at rampage if you are not from there: this is an advice stay away from uniilorin if your not an indigen, they favour only indigens or better still conk indigens, cos i ve a friend whose an indigen but lives in lagos lost admission dere, cos of same reason, its jest an advice.
6. Fill only the genuine information
about yourself in
jamb e.g state, age
and local government: try to make sure any single details you fill bout yourself is 100% geniu, not cos your name is oladepo samuel and your nick name is dealeh then you'll fill in oladepo samuel dealeh, or your 16 and you fill in 17, pls and pls stay away from dat mistake, fill in the name your father gave to you and your real age.
7. select fed poly ilaro because it preferable if you want
admissoin in ilaro: ilaro is one of the best poly so far to my perspective, if your from ilaro or your related to that side i'll strongly advice you to select it, your admission is sure.
8. don't select a course you don't have the
complete requirement
for in your O'level, except your using awaiting result: pls always select a course relating to your department or your 0'level result.
