ALL Yahoo Mail account users have been warned that an internet hacker has offered to sell code that will allow a person to hijack Yahoo e-mail accounts.
The hacker, said to be an Egyptian, with the username: The Hell, has offered an exploit for the price of $700 on an underground cyber crime community called: Dark-ode.
In recent times, a lot of Yahoo Mail account users, especially Nigerians, have complained about unauthorized-sired users tampering with their email accounts.
These scammers, who hack into email accounts, are fond of sending fictitious messages to unsuspecting friends and family members of account owners, asking for financial bail out.
Such messages are drafted as if account owners are stranded abroad.
The aim is to obtain money or other goods through a dishonest means, therefore, Yahoo Mail account owners have been warned to beware of such messages.
According to an online security blogger, Brian Krebs, who noticed the publicity from the suspected hacker last week, the plan will work ¡°when an unsuspecting email user clicks on a malicious hyperlink, sent in an email.
¡°By clicking on the link, they unwittingly allow a cyber attacker access to their Yahoo Mail account.¡±
